India is not just a Geography or History
India is not just a geography or history. It is not only a nation, a country, a mere piece of land. It is something more: it is a metaphor, poetry, something invisible but very tangible. It is vibrating with certain energy fields that no other country can claim.
The Ultimate Explosion
For almost ten thousand years, thousands of people have reached to the ultimate explosion of consciousness. Their vibration is still alive, their impact is in the very air; you just need a certain perceptivity, a certain capacity to receive the invisible that surrounds this strange land.
It is strange because it has renounced everything for a single search, the search for the truth.
Osho about the Real India
India is a magnet…
In the process, we discover just what it is about India that has made it a magnet for seekers for centuries, and the importance of India’s unique contribution to our human search for truth.
Visiting a country like India is totally different from visiting any other country. Osho says in ‘India My love’: “India is the only land in the whole world strangely, which has devoted all its talents in a concentrated effort to see the truth and to be the truth.” He explains why you cannot find in the whole history of India just a single scientist.
Nothing…but to Know Oneself
Not there were no geniuses, not that there was no talent … for example Mathematics was founded in India, but no Albert Einstein was standing up in India. “The whole country, in a miraculous way, was not interested in any objective research”, Osho says “To know the other has not been the goal here, but to know oneself.”
The use of Zero for example has arisen in India. By research it has been found that this was much earlier then until now was assumed. It looks that the zero sign has already been used around the 3e age BC.
Connecting with India needs a meditative mind
By the persistent search in India for knowing oneself, whatever were the costs …a certain noosphere has been created. From a meditative level you can experience a certain ocean of vibrations around you. This means that you don’t have to see India because of its cultural objects like Taj Mahal, Khajuraho, the Himalaya’s.
It is necessary not only to visit but to MEET India
Then you will pass through India, but not meet India. The spheres of India were everywhere but you were not sensitive, you were not receptive. You were only focussed on the skeleton of India, but not on its Soul.”There is a spiritual part” Osho Says “Your cameras cannot photograph is, your training, your education cannot capture it.”
The Ultimate Truth: Sat-chit-anand
In “India My Love” Osho describes that the Ultimate Truth always has been defined as: sat-chit-anand. ‘Sat’ means truth, ‘chit’ means consciousness, and means ‘bliss’. They are all three faces off the same reality. This is the true Trinity, according to Osho. They are not separate phenomena, but one energy expressing in three ways, one energy having three faces. These are the real faces.
First Comes Truth
First comes Truth; as you enter in, you become aware of your eternal reality: sat, truth. As you go deeper in your reality, into your sat, into your truth, you become aware of consciousness, a tremendous consciousness. All is light, nothing is dark. All is awareness, nothing is unawareness. You are just a flame of consciousness, not even a shadow of unconsciousness anywhere. And when you enter still deeper, then the ultimate core is bliss – anand.
“Buddha says: Forego everything that you have thought up to now meaningful, significant. Sacrifice everything for this ultimate because this is the only thing that will make you contented, that will make you fulfilled, that will bring spring to your being …and you will blossom into thousand and one flowers.” The Dhammapada, the Way of the Buddha.
The East Has Many Secret Keys
“The East has so many secret Keys, but even a single key is enough, because a single key can open thousands and thousands of locks.” Osho in ‘INDIA MY LOVE’. “India is the only country in the world that valued a bhikshu (beggar) even more than an emperor. A phenomenon like this is not found anywhere else in the world; it is other-wordly. On this earth nobody has considered higher than an emperor. India is the only country where we have given a higher place to a bhikshu than to an emperor.”
An emperor is the peak of sensual pleasure while a bhikshu is at the height of renunciation. An emperor has been collecting things, he has been collecting things like a madman, whereas a bhikshu has not saved anything but himself. An emperor is collecting worldly things whereas a bhikshu is concerned only with his soul. An emperor is lost in worldly pursuits, the bhikshu is on his inner journey…
The Spiritual Part of India
There is a Spiritual Part of India your camera’s cannot photograph, geeft Osho in “India my Love” aan. If you try to categorise India with other countries, you have already missed the point. Those countries don’t have the spiritual aura. They have not produced a Gautama Buddha, a Mahavira, a Neminatha, an Adinatha …they have nor produced a Kabir, a Farid, a Dadu. The other countries have produced all kinds of talented people like scientists, great artists and painters. But the mystic is India’s monopoly, until now.
The mystic is totally different kind of human being, Osho explains…
The mystic is not simply a genius, he is a vehicle of the divine, a provocation, an invitation for the divine. He opens the doors for the divine to come in. And for thousands of years, millions of people have opened the doors for the divine to fill the atmosphere of this country. To me, Osho says, that is the Real India. But to know it, you will have to be in a certain state of mind. When you meditate, try to be silent, you will allow the Real India to come in contact with you. You can find truth in this poor country in a way you cannot find anywhere else, from: Osho, India my Love.
TAO Wisdom of master Lao TZU
Tao Masters have a straightforward wisdom. They look in a total way at life. The Whole, Existence, is their guidance. They live in tune with nature
“To know the whole world is nothing
when it is compared to knowing your own inner mystery of life.” Osho
SYMBOL of the Lotus Flower “The Lotus flower has become very symbolic to the East, because the East says you should live in the world but remain untouched by it. You should remain in the world, but the world should not remain in you. You should pass through the world without causing any impression, any impact, any scratch. If by the time of your death you can say that your consciousness is as pure, as innocent as you have brought with you at birth, you have lived a religious life, a spiritual life.” Osho, India My Love
A Spiritual Style of Living
“Hence the lotus flower has become a symbol of a spiritual style of living Untouched by the water …. it grows from the mud in the water and yet remains untouched. And it is a symbol of transformation. Mud is transformed into the most beautiful and the most fragrant flower this planet knows about. Gautama Buddha was so much in love with the lotus that he called his paradise ‘The Lotus Paradise.’ ” Osho, India My Love
